The beginnings of Select Milk are associated with the year 2002, when the company Selekt Gas from Inđija imported 27 pregnant does of the Coloured German Breed (Bunte Deutsche Edelziege), followed by a buck of the same breed, as well as with the purchase of 10 registered pregnant does of the Alpine Breed and two bucks of the same breed. The aim of the investment was the initiation of goat breeding and production of goat milk and milk products under the control of the Agricultural Institute of Novi Sad. So far we have had 6 kiddings, which were highly successful (with fertility of 2 and over 2). The kids have been sold as genetic material and the herd has been expanded. By inbreeding and crossbreeding of these two breeds, the farm currently possesses 200 dairy goats, 10 bucks and 360 kids. From this year the Farm covers the area of 1.7 hectares.
